Our newest staffer at KNOM is Margaret DeMaioribus, a volunteer alumna who’s returned to Nome, and our mission, to coordinate our current volunteer program, to reach out to our local community, and to recruit the next generation of KNOMers from colleges and universities.
Volunteer alumni Margaret DeMaioribus and Josh Cunningham, who became close friends during their shared volunteer year, recently brought their service experiences full-circle through a special reunion trip to Nome.
From our studio annex’s construction to special broadcasting awards to a Russian cultural trip, it’s been an exceptional year at our radio mission.
As you read this, our newest full-time volunteers are busy acclimating to life in rural Alaska and diligently learning their new service tasks at KNOM. KNOM volunteer music director Josh Cunningham has finished his year of service to KNOM. Picking up where Josh left off is our newest volunteer, Emily Bieniek. We are blessed with the talent of five wonderful, full-time volunteers. KNOM regularly sends its full-time volunteers to cover important regional and local events […]
