Last week, one man was charged with driving under the influence after a car wreck outside of Nome resulted in two passengers sustaining serious injuries.

According to Alaska State Troopers, Michael Hahn Jr. of Nome was driving a vehicle that rolled over at mile seven of the Council Highway on Tuesday evening. Troopers say the two passengers in Hahn’s vehicle suffered serious injuries and were medevac’d to Anchorage for medical care.

Wednesday morning, Troopers arrested Hahn and charged him with DUI as well as two counts of assault in the second degree.

Hahn is scheduled to appear at the Nome courthouse on Thursday for a preliminary hearing.
