On Feb. 10, Gay Sheffield and Rick Thoman discussed ecological research in conjunction with regional knowledge with Ocean Knowledge host Megan Onders.
Sheffield, with the Alaska Sea Grant, noticed researchers looking towards the Bering Sea and Chukchi Sea during the Alaska Marine Science Symposium. Thoman, an Alaska climate specialist, addressed a need for more regionally specific weather forecasts in Western Alaska.
