Farewell, Father Tom

It’s a bittersweet farewell as we say goodbye to friend and Nome parish priest Father Tom Kuffel, who becomes pastor this month at the Immaculate Conception Church in Fairbanks. Read Fr. Tom’s parting words for Western Alaska: a place, he says, with “a depth of beauty.”

Nome Man Among Four UAF Students to Win Crowley Fuel Scholarship

According to a statement from Crowley, Gabe Smith of Nome, Keenan Sanderson of Ketchikan, and twin brothers Carlton and Kendrick Hautala of Kwethluk will receive $2,500 to go towards their tuition costs.
