Fatality In Grayling Due To ATV Accident

A 10-year-old girl has died from injuries she sustained from an ATV accident in Grayling.

Aaliyahellie Shangin-Andrews of Anchorage was riding on the back of a 2001 Honda four-wheeler while 18-year-old Kaitlin Andrews was driving. The driver swerved around a pothole causing young Andrews to be thrown from the ATV and onto the road. She was medevaced to the Alaska Native Medical Center in Anchorage with fatal injuries.

The State Medical Examiner’s Office reported that Aaliyahellie died at the medical center on August 19th. A dispatch from the Alaska State Troopers Department says the investigation related to her death continues.
