Emergency Order Allows Drift-Net Chum Fishing in New Section of Lower Yukon

Tim DeSpain, a spokesperson with AST, says around 7pm Friday, Stevens’ remains were recovered along with other parts of his plane from about 20 feet of water. DeSpain could not comment on the cause of death but says Stevens’ body has been sent to Anchorage for an autopsy.

Kyle Stevens of Russian Mission was reported overdue Monday night from his flight to Bethel. An airplane confirmed to be Stevens’ Cessna 205 was located in the Yukon River approximately 10 miles from Russian Mission, but Stevens remains unaccounted-for.
