Nome City Council to Consider Port Tariff Amendments

Nome City Council could make the final decision on a controversial ordinance regarding Port tariffs at tonight’s regular meeting. Vitus Energy is urging the Nome City Council not to create regulations that they say could cause the City to lose sales tax revenue.
Nome City Council and School Board To Go Over First NPS Budget Draft for FY’19

During a 5:15pm work session tonight, the City Council is scheduled to go over NPS’s first draft of their nearly $7-million budget. Potential revisions to the 2018 Port Tariffs for over-side fueling transfers is also a topic of discussion for the work session.
In Public Hearing, Nome City Council to Discuss “Nuisance” Properties

New business on the Council’s agenda includes hosting a public hearing on a resolution to declare certain buildings in city limits as fire or health hazards, and/or public nuisances. If this resolution is passed, then the City of Nome could be authorized to demolish at least four properties.
City Council Calls Special Meeting; Funding for Diesel Fuel Could Be Passed
