Alaska Supreme Court Selects New Chief Justice

Justice Joel H. Bolger was selected by unanimous vote from all five supreme court justices, in accordance with Alaska’s Constitution. The Iowa born and raised justice was first appointed to the Alaska Supreme Court in 2013.

Attempted Murder, Heroin Cases Continued to January

Frank Johnson, of Nome, and Frank Lee, of Teller, were separately charged with attempted murder or murder in July. Katherine Olson, of Nome, was charged with possession of heroin in August. All three cases will have further hearings in the coming months.
