Aklestad and Olstad lead Iron Dog into Nome
The duo of Tyler Aklestad and Nick Olstad, team 7 in the Iron Dog 2023 race, pulled into Nome at first position just after 3 p.m on Feb. 20.
Aklestad and Olstad lead Iron Dog out of Koyuk
The top team of IronDog 2023 departed Koyuk at about 11:45 a.m. as they moved toward Nome and the halfway point of the snowmachine race. Team 7 of Tyler Aklestad and Nick Olstad left Kotzebue at 7 a.m. this morning in first position.
Aklestad and Olstad lead through Kotzebue, 10 teams scratch from Iron Dog
The top teams departed Kotzebue this morning as they moved forward to Nome and the halfway point of the 2023 Iron Dog snowmachine race. Team 7 of Tyler Aklestad and Nick Olstad started this race in 16th position on Friday, Feb. 17, then moved into first after McGrath where they have held the lead since the evening of Feb. 18.
