With all three values working in concert, the heart of the mission beats strong and steady, unobtrusively, and with great love. Take away any value, and the mission loses its breath.

MRI to Save Lives

A new Magnetic Resonance Imaging machine at the Nome hospital will save lives. That’s according to Preston Rookok, board member for the Norton Sound Health Corporation. The new machine will also save money and travel time.

Each “Winterim,” Nome-Beltz High School offers a set of short-term electives for students to study subjects not on the regular course menu. This year, two Winterim courses involved Alaska Native culture: enhanced leadership skills and Native handicrafts.
