Dear Friend…(May 2025)

This year, the Easter Season begins on Easter Sunday and ends on Pentecost Sunday, which falls on June 8th. If there’s one word that sums up Easter Season, it’s “Surprise!” All four writers of the Gospels tell the Easter story in their own way, but they all agree on one thing: Jesus’ resurrection was a huge surprise-not just for His enemies, but even for His closest friends.

So, a great way to celebrate the Easter Season is by surprising others—and even ourselves. We can start by doing something we don’t usually do. Never tasted tofu? Give it a shot! Water aerobics? Try it! Becoming a sustaining member of KNOM? Love it! Learn to yodel? Why not!

Why surprise ourselves during Easter? Because it helps us break out of our usual habits or our own kind of “tomb.” Trying something new helps us grow, feel more alive, and stretch beyond our comfort zone. And that’s a very Easter thing to do!

KNOM is full of surprises – you never know what you’ll hear next! Hearing from you always makes our day. You’re always welcome to reach out, whether it’s just to say “hi” or to ask for prayers. We keep you in our prayers and hope you know how thankful we are for your friendship.
