Love to get news from Nome. I was there once and loved it! It was a while ago (I think it was about 20 years ago) when I decided I wanted to go dog sledding!!! As I recall, I took a plane from Nome to an island which I think was called “St. Michaels Island.” I lived in Minnesota at that time, I now live in Missouri. From there, one other lady and I got dogs from a man who was in the Iditarod at one time. With a guide, we each had a team of 5 dogs and we went dog sledding! Wow! What a trip that was. Best event I ever did!! I always watch the Iditarod and it brings back wonderful memories. With love and prayers for you all. The Virus is awful around here. Jacquie Crawford sunnyhollo@aol.com

Hi. I visited Nome from England last Summer 2019, having been inspired by the story of the 1925 diphtheria outbreak. I am Church of England but was given a warm welcome by the Catholic Church in Nome and was allowed to take communion. My best wishes to you all especially Mayor Benneville who made my stay particularly memorable. All the best. Anna
