Vera Kingeekuk Metcalf of Savoonga is set to join an elite group of women, who have made significant contributions to various fields in Alaska. Metcalf is one of ten who will be inducted tonight into the Alaska Women’s Hall of Fame for the class of 2019.

Alumnae of the Alaska Women’s Hall of Fame include hundreds of individuals like Senator Lisa Murkowski, Elizabeth Peratrovich, and the woman who nominated Metcalf, Alice Stevenson Green.
