The article on the sinful & debauched conduct of Jim Poole is excellent & appreciated. Important in this debacle is our duty to forgive; however, to forget is no longer an option due to the church’s inability to clean up it’s own contribution towards debauchery. Also, we should realize that to give up would be to quit Our Lord. We must live His commandments & continue to evangelize, conveying His love, remembering that His greatest commandment is to love others as we love Him with our whole heart, mind & soul. Further, It must be our promise to one another that when a priest abuses anyone, we notify authorities outside the church to take action against the priest – the church has failed us too many times for it to be a viable solution for sexual predators.
