Resident Artist from Greenland Partners with NACTEC to Build Traditional Kayak

The kayak program, which ended two weeks ago in Nome, started several years ago with the intent of making a Greenlandic kayak. And as students learned to make a traditional kayak, the construction process required them to think about determining shipping costs, pricing out materials, and entrepreneurship basics.

After an Alaska State Troopers investigation, James Bloomstrand has been charged with driving under the influence and manslaughter for the vehicle rollover on the Teller highway that ejected and killed an 18-month-old infant.
