No Signs of Foul Play in Alakanuk Death Investigation

A death investigation in the community of Alakanuk shows no signs of foul play.

Alaska State Troopers in Emmonak received a report of a death on Saturday, April 1st. 84-year-old Frank Lee of Alakanuk was found deceased in his home.

Village police officers arrived on-scene with the Alakanuk health aide Saturday morning. State troopers also deployed to the community.

Family and next of kin have been notified. A final determination on the cause of death will be decided after an autopsy on Lee’s remains by the State Medical Examiner’s Office in Anchorage.
