Suspect Arrested for Assault and Criminal Mischief in Akiak

A 20-year-old is in custody after an alleged assault and criminal mischief in the community of Akiak.

Alaska State Troopers received a report from Akiak on Thursday, March 23rd at 9:44 p.m. that a man had been stabbed in the forehead by an arrow.

After investigation, Ronald Bell, Jr., of Akiak was arrested for assault in the third degree, in addition to criminal mischief in the third degree, after windows of an Akiak home were broken out with an axe.

Bell was arraigned in the Bethel Courthouse on Friday with a preliminary hearing scheduled in Bethel on April 3rd.
