“Ice, Ice, Baby!”

In this week’s audioblog, Karen, Lauren, Tyler, and Davis discuss the frozen form of water. Winter has arrived in Nome, and the ocean is starting to freeze over, which means the KNOM volunteers will be able to do more things out on the ice, such as ice crabbing and ice skating.

This ice-themed conversation delves into the differences between “ICEEs” and “Slushies”, the beauty of the frozen landscape in Western Alaska, and Tyler’s significant appreciation of rapper Vanilla Ice. Unfortunately, there will not be a “Deep Dive” in this audioblog, which is usually included by Davis, because you can’t dive through solid ice.
