Nome, AK — An assault at the Anvil Mountain Correctional Center in Nome is under investigation.
Alaska State Troopers report the assault occurred at 8:25 A.M. on August 21st. Public Information Officer Megan Peters says a fight broke out between two inmates, but no major injuries were reported.
A suspect has been identified, but no names have been released while Troopers continue their investigation.
