Coming in 2033: The “Great Bering Strait Eclipse”

A total solar eclipse: a black sky with the sun completely blocked by the moon in silhouette, leaving only the white corona of the sun visible.

A total solar eclipse is coming to Western Alaska on March 30, 2033, and by the luck of the astronomical lottery, Nome will be in the exact center of its path.
