“YOURS FOR WESTERN ALASKA”

(907) 443-5221

Farewell, Father Thomas

Father Thomas Sagili departed Nome at the end of April; he’s been reassigned to elsewhere in rural Alaska. Remaining at St. Joseph Church, however, is Fr. Kumar Pasala.

Easter, Loud and Clear

In 2018 and every year, your support helps bring Easter Mass to listeners in Western Alaska who do not have a priest to celebrate the holiday.

Voices of Hope, Love, & Mercy

Priest stands inside church sanctuary

What a blessing! For the first time in the history of St. Joseph Catholic Church, two priests are present to minister to Nome and its many surrounding communities. You continue to make it possible for live, local voices to bring Catholic programming to Western Alaska.

Connected in Faith

This Easter, the need for KNOM’s broadcasts is as great as ever. Thanks to you, listeners throughout Western Alaska will continue to have an outlet for worship, inspiration, education, news, and entertainment.

Gospel Truth

Thanks to your support, the faithful in Western Alaska can hear the weekly Gospel readings and the Word of God at Sunday Mass — even in the many communities where there is no local clergy.

A Welcome Day in Kotzebue

A few months ago, KNOM’s Margaret DeMaioribus accompanied Nome parish priest Fr. Vince Burns on a day trip above the Arctic Circle: to the hub city of Kotzebue, Alaska.
