NSHC Board of Directors Holds Annual Meeting, Elects Members, Renews Gorn’s Contract

NSHC’s Board of Directors convened in Nome this week for their 47th annual meeting. Yesterday, the Board voted to keep Jacob Ivanoff as the Board Chair. Also, the NSHC Board unanimously approved a new three-year contract, which includes an increased salary, with President and CEO Angie Gorn.

According to a Norton Sound Health Corporation press release, the NSHC Board of Directors supported the Administration’s decision to “no longer contract with the provider, thereby ending years of over-prescribing narcotics to a group of NSHC patients.”
