Inspirational Spots
Inspirational Spot of the Week
[timed-content-server show=”9/01/2019 00:00 America/Nome” hide=”9/07/2019 23:59 America/Nome”]God never asks about our ability — only about our availability.
“We do not want a Church that will move with the world. We want a Church that will move the world.”
“The fruit of love is service, which is compassion in action.”
“That politicians, scientists and economists work together to protect the world’s seas and oceans.”
If loving every one of your neighbors were easy, it wouldn’t be a commandment.
About Our Inspirational Spots
KNOM’s inspirational spots cut to the core of what our radio mission is all about.
These short radio messages – anywhere from 15 seconds to 2 minutes in length – are intended to invite listeners to prayer, reflection, and peace; to offer companionship, food for thought, and encouragement; and to share in the vibrant spirit of Alaska and its communities.
Our inspirational spots have covered many different subjects in many different styles and moods. Some are contemplative or prayerful; others are jubilant, humorous, or celebratory.
We’re proud to broadcast about 34,000 inspirational spots annually. (Since we’re non-profit, these messages take the place of commercials.) Our inspirational spots have also been a monthly feature of our newsletter – The Nome Static – since 1983.
