Ethan Ahkvaluk has always loved KNOM. He began as a high school intern and returned as a part-time program assistant.

He enjoys sharing his love of music variety with listeners and providing a new voice. He considers it a great opportunity to learn new things for everyone to know. One of his favorite aspects of working at a radio station is having a positive impact in the daily lives of listeners.

Ethan grew up in Diomede, Nome and Kotzebue. While working in water plant operations for the City of Kotzebue, the fire/ambulance department, and other jobs in Kotzebue, he achieved his EMT1 Certificate.

Outside station, Ethan enjoys fishing, berry picking, going to the beach for hotdogs and marshmallows, and swimming with his family and friends. During the summer he fishes for silvers and red fish to bake or hang dry.
