Too Little Ice, Too Much Snow

A Win for Western Alaska
The 1,000-mile Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race returned to Alaska for its 47th running last month. After 9 days, 12 hours, 39 minutes, and 6 seconds, Bethel musher Pete Kaiser became the first Yup’ik person to claim an Iditarod championship.
