A new coffee shop in Nome is quickly becoming a local favorite. Aurora Kuupiaq Corner is run by sisters Rayne and Kastyn Lie. Rayne, a former barista, manages the shop and drinks, while Kastyn, a full-time teacher, bakes popular items like cinnamon rolls and fruit bars before heading to work. The business was brought to life through Rayne’s vision. Open weekdays and weekends, the shop already sees lines of regulars eager for fresh coffee and homemade treats.
