KNOM Community Calendar: Nov 4

Here’s what’s coming up this week on the KNOM Community Calendar:

Tuesday, November 5 is the date of the 2024 General Election. If you haven’t already voted early, head down to Old St Joes from 7 am to 8 pm to cast your vote.

Thursday night there will be a Strait Science webinar on coastal wave exposure. That starts at 6:30 p.m. on Zoom or in-person at UAF. 

Friday morning the Nome Trial Court is putting on a Courthouse Connections event, where participants can take in a day of free legal learning. Coffee and fry bread donuts will be served at 10 a.m. down at the courthouse. 

The Nome Eskimo Community will host its annual meeting this Saturday at 11 am at the NEC hall on fifth ave. Tribal council elections open Friday at 9 a.m. as well. 

In sports, volleyball will head to Kotzebue this weekend for Western Conference Tourney and wrestling will host the Nome Invite right here at Nome-Beltz.
