The Nome School Board has its first meeting of the 2016-17 academic year Tuesday night. One action item up for discussion is the approval of teacher contracts.
During the meeting, the school board will also discuss the NPS bus contract and the first reading of board policy regarding fund balances, gangs, and tobacco.
Before the meeting, there will be a facilities tour for community members at Nome/Beltz High School. The tour will bring anyone interested an up-close look at renovations and work done on the school over the summer.
The high school facilities tour begins at 5:00pm; the school board meeting starts at 5:30 at the Nome Elementary School.
