Governor Walker was in Singapore yesterday to engage Asian markets about Alaska’s natural gas opportunities. While traveling overseas, the Governor expressed his thanks to BP Alaska President Janet Weiss and ConocoPhillips Alaska President Joe Marushack for their letter assuring their support for the LNG project.
The joint letter, dated Monday, September 19th, states the two companies’ intent to assist the Alaska Gasline Development Corporation in moving forward with the State-led project. This support includes transferring LNG Project interests to AGDC and transitioning the ongoing work to the Corporation.
AGDC’s work on the project to commercialize North Slope natural gas resources is expected to begin by October 31.
This was the first email I received upon arriving in Singapore, and it was a great way to start off our trip to engage the Asian markets. pic.twitter.com/gWPsHzizYZ
