Holidays: from the Widely Celebrated to the Mostly Unknown

January 6th is National Cuddle Up Day!

I’m sure most people didn’t know that, or, even if you did, perhaps you don’t celebrate it, because it’s a relatively obscure holiday. Well, according to this website, there are national days for basically every day in the calendar year (some more obscure than others)!

The KNOM volunteers have spent Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and, now, New Year’s Eve together in Nome. In this week’s audioblog, hosted by Davis, the volunteers discuss some of their holiday traditions, what exactly Arbor Day is all about (we don’t really know), and what new holidays we would create if we could. Enjoy the diverse personalities and preferences of each volunteer featured in this holiday-themed audioblog. As always, thank you for listening!
