Subsistence Salmon Fishing: Join the Conversation on the June 19 ‘Exchange.’

Summer is here in Western Alaska, and that means it’s salmon season.

What concerns do you have about subsistence salmon fishing in your community? Do you have questions about subsistence fishing regulations and which ones apply to your area? Or maybe you’re wondering what steps the Alaska Department of Fish and Game is taking to protect declining numbers of chinook salmon.

Join us for “Exchange” on KNOM (780 am, 96.1 fm) this Tuesday (6/19) at 11:00 am for a round-table discussion about subsistence salmon management. We’ll hear from fisheries management biologists at the Department of Fish and Game, and we’d love to hear from you, too.

Give us a call starting at 11:00 am Tuesday, or leave a comment below to share more about your experience with subsistence salmon fishing.
