As the new year gets off to a running start I wanted to slow down for a moment to reach out and share a small update with you.
As costs continue to rise, we are making a thoughtful change to how we steward your generosity. Beginning this year, KNOM will no longer automatically mail printed thank-you letters for individual donations under $20. The increasing costs of printing, postage, and staffing have made this practice difficult to sustain.
Please know this was not an easy decision. As stewards of your generosity, we have a responsibility to ensure your donations are used as carefully and effectively as possible, and this change allows us to do just that. If you would still like to receive a mailed thank-you letter for a gift under $20, we are always happy to send one upon individual request. We are also glad to automatically provide thank-you letters by email for gifts of any amount.
We will, of course, continue to send tax letters for cumulative yearly donations of $100 or more, and we are always happy to provide documentation for any amount upon request.
Each week, we receive wonderful messages from our donors. We plan to begin selecting one favorite at random to share in our newsletter. I’d love to share a bit of the joy we experience with everyone, and this feels like a fun way to do that. Rest assured, your privacy will always be respected – names will not be shared, and only initials will be used so you can recognize your own message.
