“YOURS FOR WESTERN ALASKA”

(907) 443-5221

Dear Friend… (Christmas 2022)

Advent is a discipline that doesn’t come naturally in busy, modern lives. Advent is about waiting with faith-filled expectation for what is to come. Christmas, the birth of Christ, makes the long wait worthwhile.

In Western Alaska, we wait for longer daylight, wait for the changes a New Year will bring, and, of course, for the arrival of Christmas Day.

For the last several years, listeners have also hoped and waited: for travel restrictions to end. For gas and heating fuel prices to stabilize, so that households could plan. Waited for storms to subside. Thanks to your friendship, they’ve had a constant radio companion at their side.

As this Christmas approaches, we gather once again to share what we’ve learned, to dance, and to rejoice and celebrate life with one another. Thank you for making it possible!
