Nome Common Council suspends summer sales tax increase for third year

The Nome Common Council voted on April 25 to suspend Nome’s seasonal sales tax increase during the months of May, June, July and August. That means the sales tax rate will remain at 5% rather than increasing to 7% as described in the Code of Ordinances of Nome.
