Akiak Teen Charged with Assault and Robbery

An 18-year-old has been charged with assault and robbery in the community of Akiak after an incident early last week.

Alaska State Troopers received a report last Monday (September 24) that Teresa Ivan of Akiak allegedly attacked Mary Snider, 55, also of Akiak.

According to the trooper dispatch, Ivan was arrested and remanded at the Yukon Kuskokwim Correctional Center. Charges include assault in the second degree, assault in the 4th degree, and robbery in the 2nd degree.
