Inside “The Alaskan Candidate”

We may be a month into the New Year, but the Christmas spirit is alive and well in the KNOM volunteer house. Our living room is still decked in tinsel, and our willow is still wrapped in lights. But most of all, we’re still talking about our Christmas play.

Writing and producing the radio play was a big undertaking but a ton of fun. From building a world of polar political intrigue, to working with our friends and community DJs to voice the characters, and diving much further into the depths of Adobe Audition than we ever expected, “The Alaskan Candidate” is a labor of love.

This week on the audioblog, we listen back to an early scene and share our thoughts and experiences working on the play and hearing the final product.
