At Thursday night’s meeting, the Nome Joint Utility System Board passed Resolution 17-12, which officially adopts the 2017 Water & Sewer Master Plan.

The decision to accept the Master Plan follows numerous discussions of the Plan in previous board meetings and, most recently, a work session last week. The 2017 Water & Sewer Master Plan follows a previous plan issued in 2010.

Before the meeting ended in executive session, the board approved a reduction in the fuel surcharge to approximately ten cents per kilowatt hour ($0.1005/kwh), which went into effect on October 1st.

The next regular meeting of the NJUS Board will take place on the 17th of this month.
