Elder Voices: Alice Fagerstrom

Golovin, Alaska
Golovin, Alaska.

In this 2003 interview, Alice Fagerstrom shares memories of growing up in Golovin. She loved going to school, camping every spring, and playing football on the ice.

Alice also remembers anxiously awaiting the arrival of holidays like Thanksgiving and Christmas. As she got older, she still looked forward to Thanksgiving as a time when all of her children would return home and celebrate with her.

Alice’s story can be heard on Elder Voices on Wednesday, July 5th, at 11am and 6pm. Elder Voices: a window to the past, a door to the future.
