Valentine’s Day has come and gone. Your flowers have wilted, your candy has been eaten, and you’re either cozying up to the fire with your crush or suffering the pangs of unrequited love. Lucky for you, the season’s not quite over, because this month Story49 is bringing you three stories all about obsession.
Obsession was the theme of this year’s installment of Tales from Around the Woodstove, a storytelling event held annually in Nome and put on by the Nome Arts Council. We’ll hear tales from three storytellers: Jessica Oleson, Anna Ashenfelter, and Sally Kinzel. They obsessed over activities, places, and people, all in front of a live audience. And the stories are accompanied by obsession-related songs performed by musicians Dave Coler and Ian McRae.
If you want to listen in and obsess over this month’s Story49, tune in to KNOM (780 AM, 96.1 FM) on Sunday, February 19th, at 6:00pm, and then again on Thursday, February 23rd, at 3:00pm. You can also listen online using the audio player above.
