On this week’s episode of Elder Voices, hear Shishmaref’s Ardith Weyiouanna. Ardith lent her voice and story to KNOM’s Elder Voices in 2009. Hear her talk about spending her youth herding reindeer with her parents.

Ardith remembers her childhood, following the reindeer herd. Ardith also married at a young age. And she recalls a life of motherhood to her children, her grandchildren, and her great-grandchildren.

Listen to Elder Voices on Wednesday at 11am and again at 6pm to hear the story of Ardith Weyiouanna, only on KNOM. Elder Voices: A window to the past, a door to the future.
