During tonight’s Nome City Council meeting, multiple ordinances dealing with 2016 fiscal year budgets will be read for the first time.
On the agenda is a first reading of seven ordinances to amend fiscal year 2016 budgets, including the General Fund Municipal budget, school debt service fund budget, the port of Nome fund budget, and others.
City Manager Tom Moran and Mayor Richard Beneville are scheduled to be absent during tonight’s meeting. Chip Leeper will serve as acting city manager, and Stan Anderson will serve as acting mayor for the duration of the meeting.
As acting mayor, Stan Anderson could approve and sign a resolution on the docket to proclaim October 23rd through October 29th childhood cancer awareness week. Tonight’s meeting will commence in City Hall at 7:00pm.
