Aniak, AK — Two Aniak residents have been charged with burglary, theft, and criminal mischief, among other counts, after a break-in at the community’s A.C. Store on Wednesday, September 7th.
29-year-old Philip Simeon and 20-year-old Juliana Peterson allegedly forced entry into the Aniak store at 4:00 A.M. Wednesday morning. More than $30,000 in cash and checks was taken. After investigation, Alaska State Troopers discovered cash and checks at Simeon’s home.
Both Simeon and Peterson were arrested and arraigned in court on five counts and were held on bail with a court approved third-party custodian.
Aniak State Troopers are still looking for further details as they continue their investigation.
