Merry Calls

Last month, thanks to you, we continued an annual tradition that we believe brightens the Christmas season for thousands of our listeners. For seven hours on the Friday before Christmas Day, our Christmas Call-In Show gave listeners throughout our region the chance to personally wish friends and family members a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

Especially for those living in the most remote corners of rural Alaska, this can be a special treat — and in the recent past, it’s inspired participation not only within our region, but also from outside the state and even from far-flung military service members, sending greetings from the Middle East to their family in Alaska.

This year, per usual, the call-in was a festive, team effort. Pictured, above, is community deejay Marjorie Tahbone, helping to greet callers on the air. Thanks for making possible this special day!
