Story49: Gambell Storytelling Workshop

For this month’s episode of Story49, we’re taking a trip to Gambell, where we’ll experience a week-long storytelling workshop with storyteller and educator Brett Dillingham. During the workshop, kids were guided through the process of creating and performing their own stories inspired by Alaskan animals and artifacts from the hands-on-loan program of Sitka’s Sheldon Jackson Museum.

To hear the workshop for yourself, as well as to find out more about the importance of art in our schools in western Alaska, join us for this episode of Story49: available above (using the audio player) and broadcast on KNOM (96.1 FM, 780 AM) Sunday, Nov. 15th at 6:30pm and Thursday, Nov. 19th at 3:00pm.
