Story49: Arctic Access

“Disability does not define you. It’s a part of you.”

– Brooke Ward, Nome resident

January’s Story49 features Tuesona Tungwenuk, Denice Gilroy and Brooke Ward, three women advocating for increased accessibility for people with disabilities. They share their personal stories and how they’ve pushed for social change through Arctic Access, a non-profit here in our region.

You can tune into KNOM on Sunday, January 18th at 6:30p.m. and again on Thursday, January 22nd at 12:30p.m. to hear their stories. Or, listen below whenever you’d like.

Story49: sharing your voice, your story, your Alaska.

Tuesona Tungwenuk worked as a community DJ here at KNOM before moving to Oregon in September. Here her story in this month's episode.
