2014 marks the first year that KNOM Radio is eligible to receive donations from the State of Alaska’s Permanent Fund Dividend, through its Pick.Click.Give program. If you’re an Alaska resident who will be applying for a 2014 PFD, don’t miss our information on how you can give to KNOM through Pick.Click.Give. Every gift, big or small, makes a big difference to our mission.
2.: Our digital studios project moves forward
Thanks to the generosity of countless supporters, The Tom and Florence Busch Digital Studios continues to make progress as the calendar turns over into 2014. Recently, we received great news about new construction support from the Rasmuson Foundation, and we’ll have more details on our studios’ finances in our soon-to-be-released January 2014 newsletter.
3.: (More than) 2,014 “likes” for 2014
Our supporters on Facebook may have seen that we were running a “2014 by 2014” promotion to get 2,014 likes on our Facebook page by January 1, 2014. We’re excited to announce that – as of December 31, when this post is being written – we’ve already surpassed this number! We thank you for keeping tabs on KNOM, both through this website and through our social media channels (Facebook and Twitter, especially); we’re excited to interact with our listeners and with our supporters online.
