Thank you, Father Armand!

This Christmas, we offer our great thanks and a sincere “God speed” to a truly inspiring member of our staff: the Reverend Armand Nigro, SJ, who steps down as KNOM’s spiritual advisor as of 2014.
We’ve felt blessed knowing that Father Armand – a devout, kind man with a long history of service in Alaska – has been supporting and praying for our mission and its communities for so many years.
Fr. Armand will remain in our hearts, and we’re happy to announce his new title of Spiritual Advisor Emeritus, as conferred upon him by KNOM’s board of directors and general manager Ric Schmidt (pictured) in October. Stay tuned (in a future Static) for details on our new spiritual advisor, Father Mark Hoelsken, SJ, who has served in this position before and was, from 1974 to 1978, a volunteer engineer at KNOM. He is a longtime friend of our mission and served communities in rural Alaska for many years. Welcome, Fr. Mark!

Hello, Ann! Unfortunately, no, Father Nigro isn’t an author for this website, and I don’t know of any articles that he composed.
