Volunteers come to serve KNOM listeners for a year or more from a variety of backgrounds.
Some are fresh out of college with a keen interest in broadcasting. Others have a few years of real-world work under their belts, hungry for a job where they can truly make a difference. One major thing they have in common is a desire to provide service to the community in which they live. And that desire doesn’t stop when they leave KNOM.
Recently, two former volunteers crossed paths through their community development jobs in the state at an event promoting tobacco cessation. Pictured here are Danielle and Amy, still working to make a difference. It’s so good to see their smiling faces!
