License to serve

FCC license renewal paperwork

As we go to press, KNOM’s general manager Ric Schmidt is wrapping up work on our station’s license renewal with the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). Although it involves a large amount of paperwork (like that pictured above), it’s a must-do for our mission once every eight years.

While we’re busy serving our listeners in rural Alaska, we’re also mindful to keep our records in perfect order in Washington, D.C.
