August ’05: Sen. Stevens visits KNOM

Senator Ted StevensAugust 3, 2005

In advance of a visit from Senator Ted Stevens (who, as president pro tempore of the Senate, is third in line for the US presidency), Secret Service agents sweep the KNOM building for a security check.

Throughout his long tenure in Congress – a tenure that began in 1968, several years before our first broadcast – Senator Stevens was a regular interview subject for KNOM’s news broadcasts.
